Patient was treated after an injury while playing basketball on a Saturday night. The patient was not wearing a mouth guard, and suffered an elbow to the mouth. The teeth were repositioned and splinted. Mouth guards and preferably custom mouth guards should be worn during all sporting activities were there is contact or potential contact. Custom mouth guards are available at our office.
